Here is an online MP3 player that I have created for the Dub and Reggae social networking website. It is basically an audio-player widget that sources the 25 most recent MP3's that the site's users have uploaded there and it will update automatically as new audio is added.

The MP3 player has full viral capabilities, as it can easily be added to other social networks, such as Facebook and MySpace, with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. It is also a breeze to embed it into any other website or blog simply by clicking on the 'Share' button and copy/pasting the supplied code.

I think it looks pretty cool and works very well too, but you'll only know this for yourself by turning up your speakers and hitting the 'Play' button on the MP3 player above. Feedback would be great to get on this, so once you've had a listen, let me know what you think in a comment below.

Here is the first build of a photo carousel widget that I am making for the Our Newport website.

The photos in this widget are sourced from an RSS Feed of the photo album on the site and the widget will therefore automatically update when the site's users upload new photos.

I'm currently working on improving the images that appear in the widget above, because at the moment the Our Newport site's RSS Feed only serves the thumbnail images, which look slightly blurred here when blown up.

The 'Our Newport' website is a local community social networking site for the residents of Newport, South Wales. I have been commissioned to build a collection of widgets to serve the various RSS Feeds (photos, videos, blogs, etc.) for their site. There are also talks in the process to possible rebuild and maintain their site's landing pages.
